Members of Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) can now enjoy life insurance, investment and banking products, along with added member benefits, specifically designed to meet the military's needs through a new alliance with Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA). AFBA was established in 1947 as a non-profit voluntary membership association with the approval of the Secretary of War, Mr. Robert Patterson, and the support of the Chief of Staff, General of the Army Dwight D. Eisenhower "to promote the general welfare and economic interests of its members and their families by providing superior benefits and services principally to military families during peace and war."
