AFI Employees Contribute to the American Red Cross for Victims of the Missouri and Kansas Tornados

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (July 26, 2011) - Armed Forces Insurance, (www.afi.org) employees raised $1,400 in a company-wide fundraising campaign to support the relief efforts for the residents of Kansas and Missouri affected by the recent tornados in the Midwest.

Half of the amount was donated by employees, with AFI matching their contributions, according to Kurt Seelbach, president and chief executive officer of Armed Forces Insurance.

"Our employees have come together to support those who have suffered great devastation in the Midwest." Seelbach said. "Their concern for others who have been affected by tragedy echoes that of the military members we serve every day."

The money will be donated to the American Red Cross tornado victims. The funds will be used to provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance needed in response to this disaster.
